About Us

Our History

GCCHS, Inc., was established in 2001 by a few local homeschooling moms who wanted to get together with other moms and kids, to hang out, do activities together, and support each other. What started with about 10 families has grown to nearly 400 families! GCCHS provides local homeschoolers with a network of ideas, opportunities, and people to support them on their homeschooling journey.

Our Mission Statement

Gulf Coast Christian Home Scholars (GCCHS) is a volunteer-based, non-profit group whose purpose is to enrich the homeschool educational experience of families throughout the southeast region of Houston by connecting members with more opportunities to promote lifelong learning and friendships. While our roots are Christian, we are an inclusive group and welcome all homeschooling families.
