What: 
Longing for a lost love connects Jane to Penelope. While Penelope waits for Odysseus to return from the Trojan War, Jane’s husband was lost to 9/11.  Penelope kindles an eternal hope for her husband’s return, yet Jane is counting on the miraculous for her reconciliation.  Do you believe in miracles?

Who: Appropriate for HS ages 14+
Children UNDER the age of SIX are NOT ALLOWED in the theater.
This is NOT a drop off event and requires parental supervision for each child.

The Janeiad frankly discusses 9/11 and features some Language.
Alley Theater provides content alerts, but does not censor or edit the content of a play for Student Matinees. It is your responsibility to decide wheher or not it is appropriate for your children. Cost: $15 each - we need a proper headcount for students & adults. Please fill in the box correctly when you sign up.

 

PAYMENT INFO & DUE DATE:   Registration and payment deadline is Sunday, October 13th. Payment is due on signup!   Unpaid signups will be canceled. There are no refunds after the payment deadline. Please refer to attached Field Trip Payment Policy for details.

**Alley Theater cannot sell individual tickets to parents and chaperones. Student matinee performances are not public performances. GCCHS is considered a school group and will submit our ticket numbers and payment in advance. Please do NOT call the theater to ask for additional tickets.

 

TIME: Check-in time is 9:30 a.m. - We must all be waiting in line and ready to enter the theater at 9:30 a.m. or we will slow down the seating process. The show starts promptly at 10:00 a.m. 
Please arrive in time to park and check-in by 9:30 a.m.  You can use the restroom after we are seated.
*If you arrive after the show has started you will not be admitted and you will not be given a refund.
*Further instructions on checking in will be emailed closer to the date of the play.

PARKING: There are several paid parking garages in the vicinity, including one underneath Alley Theater.  There is also paid street parking nearby.

RULES FOR ALLEY THEATER PERFORMANCES:

  • No food or drinks allowed in the theater.  
  • Phones must be turned off during the performance. Theater staff may ask anyone disrupting the performance in any way to leave.
  • Other electronic devices (including but not limited to: tablets, video recorders, and e-readers) and backpacks are prohibited inside of the theater.
  • Prohibited items will be confiscated and returned after the show.

*Parent Supervision Required Event: This is NOT a drop off event and requires parental supervision for each child. Parental supervision can be the actual parent of the child or another GCCHS member adult/friend/family member that the parent has entrusted with the safety and well-being of their child.

NOTE: You may ONLY participate in this event if your name is on the signup list and you have paid for your spot. Please DO NOT just show up at the theater and say that you are with the group, as seating is ONLY available to those on the signup here. This policy is professional and courteous to the theater.
